Good day, posted at 11:48 p.m.

Epiphany in Baltimore has moved to epiphanyinbaltimore.blogspot.com

Today was a great day. Highlights:

1. Reading Macbeth outside as a class, in front of the school in the sunshine.

2. An uncommonly good practice made perfect by the weather.

3. An O's game with good friends. The game sucked - Miguel Cabrera is not a major league starting pitcher, and pitchers who walk more than they strike out never make it - but it was so great just to be there in the sun and the warm breeze.

I'm now tired, though, and need to get some sleep. Tomorrow's another day that will last upwards of 14 hours. We've got a game at a certain Baltimore high school at the end of North Avenue. The school is in pretty poor shape, and the neighborhood isn't nice, but there's a baseball field tucked away behind it that you literally have to get to by walking through a path in the woods. You walk through these woods, and suddenly the field emerges in front of you, like an oasis. Playing there, you forget you're in a crummy part of a major US city. You could be... in Kansas. It's really quite enthralling. I hope the rain holds off. We've been at it since March 1 and we've played one game. The kids are restless, and so am I.

PS: Eyes are okay.
