I got to meet my accuser, ask my questions, and the judge deemed I was not negligent. Since, of course, I wasn't home and Holden is a friendly dog. I represented myself. I was nervous, but gave my closing argument without stuttering. Right afterwards, my dad wrote on the legal pad, "You did superb." That was enough to make me confident. And he ruled in my favor.
That is a $10,000 weight lifted off my back. Sometimes, the truth - and good - does win.
